Over the summer I set myself a little photographic exercise looking at different forms within nature that can inspire textures, materials and architecture forms.
Seed heads have inspired concepts for structure, light filtration, colours, textures, clusters, patterns and protection. There is of course the of enduring idea of nurturing life within a protective shelter/envelope until it is ready to branch out on its own ... not dissimilar to a family home! The movement and rhythm of grasses in the wind also brings to mind thoughts for screens and shaping the pattern of light over the course of the day.
Sometimes its the little things that can generate big ideas.
